Teen star Miley Cyrus has her own way in helping the victims of Haiti earthquake. The 17-year-old songstress has been contacting her celebrity friends to join her in a charity work to support the Haiti relief effort, asking them to donate items for an online auction set to start on February 8 on eBay.

"Everyone has been so generous," the Disney star told People magazine about her effort in gathering items from several celebrities. "My mom and I started calling and texting all of our friends to see if they'd like to be a part of the auction." She further added that Demi Lovato "was one of the first to respond" and that "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" star Hugh Jackman "was also excited to donate something."

In addition to Lovato and Jackman, several others have also donated their belongings for the Internet bidding war. Nicole Richie donated jewelry from her House of Harlow line, while her beau Joel Madden donated some of his clothes. Britney Spears also joined the cause by offering up the custom silver minidress she wore to the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.

Miley Cyrus herself will auction off the Herve Leger dress she wore to the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night, January 31. "I want to get people involved and show that even the little things you can do can make a difference," the "Hannah Montana" star explained her decision in holding the auction. All proceeds from the online auction will go the American Red Cross.

It does not seem getting a nod at Razzies has affected Miley Cyrus that much. She could be competing for the Worst Actress of 2009 for her portrayal of “Hannah Montana”, but she sees it no reason to cut down on the fun quotient.

So the actress was out hitting the town with Demi Lovato and her boyfriend Liam Hemsworh on the night of Feb. 2nd. X17 reports that the trio had dinner at Jerry’s Deli in Studio City. It looked that they were really spending some quality time together. Though X17’s account that ‘Demi looked a better companion’ of Miley than her boy Liam, would sure raise a few eyebrows. Pop star Miley Cyrus would crush millions of young fans if she retired from the spotlight, but if singing doesn't work out, at least she has a back-up plan."My dream job was to become a wedding planner," the songstress reportedly told Globe magazine "I like the idea of putting a great event together."

However, other than an already-thriving career in the entertainment industry, it seems that the only thing deterring Cyrus from her chosen field is her inability to be punctual.

"I am terrible with time schedules," she said. "I don't even have a watch." And brides-to-be know that there's nothing worse than an unreliable wedding planner.

Though we're fairly confident that the "Party in the U.S.A." singer isn't going anywhere anytime soon, it's been rumored that she might soon begin some wedding planning of her own.

When Cyrus was spotted wearing a diamond engagement ring on her left hand, it was speculated that the 17-year-old, who is currently dating Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, might be set to tie the knot.

Since the end of Hannah Montana has been confirmed, there's bound to be new projects out there for Disney star Miley Cyrus.  According to a report by Variety, the 17-year-old pop sensation is currently in talks for a remake of the original French hit LOL: Laughing Out Loud.  What's more, it's Demi Moore who will supposedly play her mother in the English-language version. Miley Cyrus will be portraying the role of a 15-year-old girl who was recently dumped by her experienced boyfriend.  In the hopes of moving on, she instead pursues his best friend.  It's also revenge, of course.

Meanwhile, Demi Moore will reportedly be the 40-year-old divorcee mom who is struggling to get on with her life.  As a single parent, she has quite a lot on her plate.  Her relationship with her daughter is fraught with trouble, and things just seem to be getting worse. LOL: Laughing Out Loud also deals with the youth's obsession with instant messaging, given the title of the film.  It's going to tie in with the mother-daughter story, certainly Miley Cyrus' cup of tea.

Hollywood actresses Demi Moore and Miley Cyrus are in talks to play mother and daughter on the big screen in a remake of 2009 French hit “L.O.L. Laughing Out Loud”.

The two stars are the frontrunners to recreate roles played by Sophie Marceau and Christa Theret in the Lisa Azuelos film, reports contactmusic. Azuelos will write and direct the Hollywood re-do. The film follows the exploits of a teenager and her divorced mother as they attempt to get on with their lives after break-ups.

Pop tart Miley Cyrus, 17, and the un-airbrushed Demi Moore, 86,  are reportedly close to signing on for the upcoming comedy L.O.L: Laughing Out Loud. A remake of the 2008 French sensation, L.O.L follows a 15-year old girl who is dumped by her boyfriend and is forced to endure her recently divorced mother.

Ah, to be young again. In the original, the mother is played by the lovely Sophie Marceau with Christa Theret playing the daughter. Lisa Azuelos-Alessandrin, who directed the original, will adapt and helm the Americanized version as well. In April, Cyrus will star in the drama The Last Song opposite Liam Hemsworth (Knowing). She also has a cameo in Sex and the City 2, due out in May. She will presumably do something all adult-like. Moore can be seen in Happy Trails and the indie flick The Joneses.

Other veteran musicians have also been doing their part as well.  MTV News reports that Mariah Carey and Jon Bon Jovi are on the list, in addition to famous Brits Susan Boyle, Leona Lewis and Rod Stewart. "It's amazing these great singers are clearing their schedules to make this happen," Simon Cowell told England's The Sun.  "It says such a lot that everyone is working so hard to help Haiti.  This is something that really matters to us all, and I'm so grateful for the support we are getting."The recording has already begun for the single, with the proceeds going to The Sun's Helping Haiti fund and the official Disasters Emergency Committee appeal.  There is still no announcement regarding the release of the single though. Other than that, the Hannah Montana star also made this video to urge her fans to donate to the Haiti relief efforts.  She teamed up with American Red Cross for the clip, hoping to encourage everyone to take action for the benefit of the victims.
