Miley Cyrus New Song The Last Song: This week's two biggest releases are geared towards kids, so they'll be helpful if anyone in your family is about to hit the back-to-school blues. Distract teens with "The Last Song" (PG, $29.99), a mild Nicholas Sparks  romance starring Miley Cyrus as an aspiring pianist who spends a life-changing summer at the beach.

Younger children may enjoy the frantic antics of "Furry Vengeance" (PG, $22.99), in which woodland animals try to protect their forest from corporate developers. Just be sure everyone approaches Brendan Fraser's latest family comedy with appropriately low expectations: it's currently ranked as one of the 100 worst movies of all time.

A specific disclaimer is needed before this review gets any longer: Miley Cyrus is loved more than the Southern Baptist Conference loves Jesus.

With that said, Cyrus has gone from nothing to everything in a matter of seconds. What started as a cute Disney production starring her dad has transformed her into an entertainment triple threat: singing, acting and well, just being an icon to all.

Cyrus’ latest gift to the common folk is “Can’t Be Tamed,” the album released recently in late June. Jumping right into the mix of things, she starts with “Liberty Walk,” which serves, if anything, as inspiration to be whoever one is and to not care about what others think. Singing “don’t live a lie … just walk, just walk” serves as a message to all of her fans, both old and young, that they need to be who they think they are and not let others tell them what that is, because only they know what their own dreams are.

Her normal, upbeat rhythms that confuse the elderly and serve as adrenaline to the youth are extremely apparent in most of her tracks, leaving room for a few emotional hits like “Two More Lonely People” to really make people feel better knowing that Cyrus is right there with them through their depression episode.

Miley Cyrus has been nominated for the Teen Choice Award.  She’s going to be too busy filming her next movie to attend, but it’s the thought that counts!  Miley’s nominated in the category of Choice Movie: Liplock  (for her kiss with Liam Hemsworth in Last Song) and also with Liam for Choice Movie: Chemistry.  She’s a nominee for Choice Movie.

Hissy Fit for the same film.  Miley Cyrus is also nominated for Red Carpet Fashion Icon, for her fashion line for WalMart, for a couple of her songs, and also for having the most fanatical fans. With so many nominations she’s bound to win something!  She took a few minutes to thank her fans for nominating her.

Teenage pop star Miley Cyrus made a brief stop off in Madrid, Monday to present her new album Can't Be Tamed, as well as her Disney movie The Last Song and her date at the concert 'Rock in Rio'. Miley has sold 15 million albums worldwide, while the first single from ‘Can't Be Tamed’ has already had more than 12 million views on Youtube.

This album shows a moment of artistic change as well as more of a grown-up, with the singer claiming at a press conference that the record's creation was "almost like a little bit of a therapy, you just get out what you think and what you feel. I think this is the most honest record of mine, and I've definitely learned a lot and gone through a lot, and I think that this record shows a different maturity in me and a different light, but it also is still me and the people that my fans can relate to.

Making her rounds overseas, Miley Cyrus presents her new album "Can't Be Tamed" in Madrid, Spain. The "Hannah Montana" hottie was all smiles at the Villamagna Hotel locale as she received a Platinum Record plaque for her latest hit offering.

The trip to Madrid follows a previous stop in Lisbon, Portugal for the Rock in Rio Music Festival on Saturday night. Taking the stage during the ongoing music extravaganza, the 17-year-old treated the crowd to a sample of her tunes while covering “I Love Rock ‘N Roll” and “Cherrybomb".
