Miley Cyrus, in such a rush to be an adult, showed real signs of teen immaturity in her well meaning, but misplaced defense of Demi Moore. It does the Moore no good to be in denial about her drug problems. Cyrus, 19, and Moore, 49, starred together in the upcoming movie “LOL: Laughing Out Loud.” Miley plays a rebellious teen to Demi’s 40-something divorced mother trying to keep things together.

In real life, Moore has been spiraling out of control for some time, and the scandalous end to her marriage to Ashton Kutcher definitely didn’t help. But it’s clear from recent events, that she has a major substance abuse and eating disorder problem.

Plus Moore is also narcissistic, which suggests a personality disorder as well. She’s obsessed with youth to the point of crashing her 23-year-old daughter’s circle of friends. It took an overdose of drugs, putting her life at risk and resulting in hospitalization, to get Moore into rehab. Usually these things end far more badly… in death.

Enter Miley.
In a post on her Facebook page, Miley scolds “everyone,” likely meaning the tabloids for covering Moore’s meltdown. “She’s been through so much the past year. She doesn’t need the crap. How can you talk crap on someone you don’t know?” she writes.

The teenager then went on to deny Moore had a drug problem. “The media makes everyone in Hollywood seem ‘weak,’ ‘stupid,’ or ‘unbalanced,’” she added. “Just because she’s in Hollywood doesn’t mean she’s on drugs. NOT EVERYONE IS ON DRUGS!!!”

Miley may have a point; not everyone in Hollywood is on drugs. But it doesn’t apply to Moore, who is reported to have been huffing nitrous oxide, better known as laughing gas, on the night she convulsed and was hospitalize.

She’s also reportedly hooked on prescription drugs and clearly has an eating disorder. Put yourself in her shoes. How are you supposed to hold up while everyone in the world is so naïve and they believe everything the media says?” Miley adds. But there’s only one person who is naïve here. Moore is finally getting the help she needs. No need for an apologist to deny problems that are clearly evident.

According to a report from RadarOnline, Miley voiced her support of Demi via her Facebook page on Saturday. "Everyone needs to leave Demi alone," she wrote. "She's been through so much the past year. She doesn't need the crap. How can you talk crap on someone you don't know?"

Is this really the kind of support that Demi Moore needs? Unfortunately, Miley may mean well, but her Facebook post sounds like a rant from a mouthy kid. Miley Cyrus went on to dish about Demi's status, saying that her troubles don't involve abusing drugs.

"The media makes everyone in Hollywood seem 'weak,' 'stupid,' or 'unbalanced' ...Just because she's in Hollywood doesn't mean she's on drugs. NOT EVERYONE IS ON DRUGS!!!" she wrote.

No, not everyone is on drugs, but it's pretty clear that Demi Moore has been partying, and her daughter Rumer Willis was present when it happened. Even Miley Cyrus dabbles in drugs now and then. Has she forgotten her salvia incident, where she smoked it from a bong and it was filmed and shared online?

Miley's last statement indicates that she is a bit naïve where this entire situation is concerned. And while no one doubts she means well, and wishes Demi Moore all the best, maybe she should have simply written her a note or sent some flowers instead.

"Put yourself in her shoes. How are you supposed to hold up while everyone in the world is so naïve and they believe everything the media says? Almost her entire life has been in the public eye," Miley wrote.

Nineteen-year-old singer/actress Miley Cyrus has been something of a lightning rod for controversy of late, with several of her more questionable moments captured on tape, from smoking cigarettes and salvia and referring to herself as a "stoner" to posing with a provocative birthday cake and cursing at a fan who wanted a photo. Yet, all it takes to remind us that there is an incredibly talented young singer buried beneath all that media scrutiny is just four minutes. That's the length of 'You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go,' Miley's country-tinged contribution to the four-CD 'Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International.'

The bare-bones video for the acoustically-rendered tune has garnered airplay on MTV and VH1, as well as GAC and CMT. Miley's sweet yet mournful interpretation has even earned favorable comparisons to her godmother, Dolly Parton, who remains a staunch defender of the young star, telling Parade magazine, "I remember myself at her age. We've all been a bit too hard on her. I hope she holds it together because there's a world of things she can do. She should keep an eye on things and make wise decisions."

Dolly, who also guested on Disney's 'Hannah Montana,' which starred Miley and her dad, actor and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, is quick to defend Miley's musical talents as well.

"She's like a little Elvis!," the country icon told The Boot. "The kids love her because she's Hannah Montana, but what people don't realize about her is she is such a fantastic singer and songwriter. She writes songs like she's 40 years old! She's really deep. I'm amazed at the talent that child has and the effect she has on people."

Miley has certainly had an effect on YouTube viewers. Her official clip for 'Lonesome,' posted by Amnesty USA, has logged more than 2.2 million views. And while the young starlet may always have her detractors, the fact that she's embraced a more country vibe with this track has earned such comments on the video site as "so much better as a country singer" and "that's her genre right there."

We heartily agree and we're anxious to hear more in the same vein from the singer. Country fans are nothing if not forgiving, after all. Just ask Miley's daddy. We've forgiven him for 'Achy Breaky Heart' (well, almost), so we can certainly look past his daughter's youthful indiscretions, especially when we know what she's capable of bringing to country music.

Miley Cyrus revealed she cracked her tailbone while attempting an acrobatic move on her sofa. The singer sheepishly tweeted, "Cracked my tail bone doing a front flip... on to the couch." The Hannah Montana star has previous when it comes to domestic injuries having suffered another serious injury at home.

"That's like when I tripped over a pillow and broke my arm. Only me," she added. Oh, dear. If Miley were one of the seven dwarfs or a Mr Men character, you can guess what her name would be.

The Last Song was Miley Cyrus’s first real and official attempt to launch her name within the late teen-adult segment of the market. Often criticised for acting and doing things inappropriate to her age, I’m one of those people who believe that Miley’s just a bit mature for her years and forcing her to dumb down with her Hannah Montana role wasn’t going to work for much longer anyway.

Although not the greatest movie on Earth, it was quite refreshing to see singer/actress do something outside of the Disney enterprise. In The Last Song she plays 18-year-old Veronica “Ronnie” Miller, a rebellious teen who’s still trying to come to terms with her parents’ divorce years after the fact.

It’s when she’s sent down to stay with her estranged father at a Southern beach town that, trough their mutual love for music, she finds a way to reconnect with her dad again. The movie might have done a bit to expand her horizons in the industry, but whether or not it actually did justice to her acting abilities is another story.

Just because you’ve been involved in one of the biggest children’s comedy shows doesn’t mean you’re a great actor. We’ve seen a string of singers-turned-actors and vice versa. These include Mandy Moore and Jennifer Lopez. You’re not quite sure if they can perfect any of their so-called talents, but they manage to release projects more often than seasoned actors.

I don’t know what it is about her, but I believe not all is lost when it comes to Miley’s acting career. Many others have differing views and in fact, thanks to this movie, they are convinced that she should quit while she’s ahead. Watch the movie for yourself and see what you think.

Miley Cyrus will be stopping by The Ellen DeGeneres Show in February. She, along with rest of the singers who worked on the 50th Anniversary of Amnesty International album Chimes of Freedom that features nothing but Bob Dylan covers.

Along with Miley stopping by for sweeps, we will also get to hear from the judges from The Voice, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift and Zac Efron. All of these stars, plus more will provide an action packed show all throughout February.

I am glad to hear that Miley will be stopping by to perform, and maybe we can even hope for a mini interview? She hardly ever does them anymore and I am sure she has a lot to promote. With her upcoming movie, and her tour last year she certainly has a lot to say.

I can understand why she might be weary of doing it, but we all know that she is being watched and she should be able to state something to defend herself. Are you excited for sweeps next month? I think it could make for an interesting month, and I am sure Miley’s fans are eager to see her again.

It will be fun to see how she covers Bob Dylan. She did pretty good on her Nirvana cover, but I know that Bob does have a certain style. I doubt it will be as good, but it will be fun to find out exactly what she did do to make it her own.

Miley Cyrus reportedly got very upset over her recent leaked penis cake pics. According to a new report from Hollywood Life,19 year old,pop starlet Miley Cyrus got very upset over the photos that were recently released,showing her making sexual gestures with a penis cake. Apparently, they had gotten her boyfriend Liam a penis cake for his birthday. I’m still trying to figure out why they did that.

Anyways,Miley reportedly didn’t hesitate to start licking the cake,and diving right into it as she was very drunk that night. Now,they say the starlet is extremely embarrassed about the situation,and reportedly had a fit over it. Their source claims, Liam had to calm her down at one point,and is being very supportive. They went on to say, Liam “made her realize the funny side of the situation. He has started teasing Miley about it in a loving way,and has actually made her laugh about the ridiculousness of the pictures.

Miley Cyrus was named our role model of the year in 2011, but the Culture and Media Institute says she’s detrimental to young girls. Don’t you think she’s just trying to have fun?

We have to admit we were a little surprised to see Miley Cyrus posing with Liam Hemsworth‘s penis cake at his birthday party recently, but are her actions really damaging to the little girls who follow her? The Culture and Media Institute released a story yesterday condemning the 19-year-old former Disney starlet and her wild behavior.

“Actress and singer Miley Cyrus, who famously played the wholesome Hannah Montana, has become the epitome of the anti-role model for young girls,” the story says.

After listing her less than positive moments (read: admitting to being a stoner, etc.), the piece claims Miley promotes sex and bad behavior, which is a hindrance to society.

“Movies like Bachelorette and disgusting behavior like Cyrus’ may be part of the ‘real world’ of Hollywood, where casual sex is celebrated and frequent divorce is almost a rite of passage. But it is not the real world, because in the real world, sleazy behavior has consequences,” the story ends.

Sure, Miley is a little wild sometimes, but she is also positive in a lot of ways too. She’s one of the most charitable young celebrities in Hollywood.

Miley Cyrus is making waves again but this time, it’s all about her hair. The teen megastar recently chopped off about five inches off her long locks and then tweeted the news to her fans. Here was the message:

Just got a hurrrr cut. In response to fan inquiry, she shared this: I didn’t do anything crazy. But I did take 5 inches off She looks a little bit older(and more mature) with this flattering cut. Is this a sign that Miley is starting to gravitate towards a more adult style? Only time will tell, but her new haircut is really stylish. I hope this inspires her to try some more sophisticated looks in the future!
