Oprah Winfrey said, “I am profoundly disappointed at the outcome of the trial. I will forever be proud of the nine girls who testified with the courage and conviction to be heard.”
Tiny Virginia Makopo was accused of trying to molest the girls back in 2007 at Oprah Winfrey’s Johannesburg, South Africa school for girls. Oprah Winfrey is a sexual abuse survivor and has always stood for the rights of child sexual abuse victims. There is no doubt that Oprah was upset by the setback. Makopo was acquitted due to lack of evidence in the case.
