It seems like just yesterday Miley Cyrus was America’s most popular teen superstar. Parents loved her wholesome ways and were willing to stand in line for hours just to buy tickets for their young tween daughters. Boy, how a couple of years can change a girl. Miley is officially an adult, and she has been making very adult choices lately, which has caused her to lose the attention of most of those once adoring parents.
Now, it seems Miley Cyrus is taking her newfound adulthood to the next level. Tabloids report the 18-year-old singer is ready to take the marriage plunge with her on and off again boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth. One tabloid reports a friend close to Miley says, “Everyone wonders when Miley and Liam will take the next step and get engaged!” Star magazine’s insider believes a wedding is in the near future due because the couple is, “so devoted to each other.”
Miley recently toured in Australia where she got to spend time with Liam’s family. The singing sensation reportedly sent a private helicopter to her boyfriend’s parents’ home to pick them up and transport them to one of her concerts. Tish, Miley’s mom, sat with Liam’s parents at the concert. The friend says, “They’re hanging out like one big happy family.”
The Hollywood couple met while filming, “The Last Song,” nearly two years ago. The two hit it off and appeared to be happily in love. Much to everyone’s surprise, the couple parted ways last year, after dating for more than a year. Liam is three years older than Miley, but when they were dating, he said the relationship was “pretty serious.”
So are they really engaged? Not so much. A rep for Liam says the pair are “happily dating” and the engagement rumors are “not true.” It is possible the wedding rumors are the product of some wishful thinking from Miley’s family. A source claims her family is “eagerly awaiting a marriage.” The girl is 18, give her some time to grow up first! Miley is still trying to find her way in the tough world of Hollywood without the stress of planning a wedding.
