Miley Cyrus has opened up about her outburst directed at an abusive fan in Costa Rica. The teen superstar was on holiday with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth when a group of fans approached them for photos and autographs, only for one to call her an "a**hole" afterwards.
Cyrus retaliated, saying: "What the f**k? Are you for real?". A clip of the incident later surfaced online. The singer has now defended her actions via Twitter, writing: "Been trying not to tweet & just enjoy the holidays but just to clear something up I would never swear to a fan. When someone yells something so rude making me look like an 'a**hole' in front of fans who I am more than happy 2 take a picture w/ [with] I can't tolerate that kind of rudeness. (sic) "Every1 who was there apologised 4 the woman's brusque behaviour. She obviously wasn't a fan. Hope every1 has a Merry Christmas!"
