And could we have picked a better week in the world of pop to rate and judge this week’s biggest stories? This first week of August brought us the 2012 MTV Video Music Award nominations (and some hard to ignore snubs), premieres from Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey and Justin Bieber.
